Our research that in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Mehmet Atilla Uysal from Yedikule Chest Diseases and Chest Surgery Training and Research Hospital, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Gezer from the Department of Computer Science at Istanbul University, have developed a machine learning model that has garnered significant interest for its ability to differentiate between asthmatic patients and healthy individuals through voice analysis. Their study, titled 'Voice Analysis in Asthmatic Patients and Healthy Individuals: Can Machine Learning Models Differentiate Asthmatic and Healthy Volunteers? A Preliminary Study,' won the 3rd prize in the Asthma Allergy Working Group at the 27th Annual Congress of the Turkish Thoracic Society.

In the preliminary study, voice data from asthmatic patients and healthy volunteers collected at Yedikule Chest Diseases and Chest Surgery Training and Research Hospital were used. Voice analysis processed with a specially designed machine learning algorithm developed a unique approach to differentiate asthma patients from healthy individuals. The results showed that the model had a high accuracy rate and could correctly identify asthmatic patients.
